Gallery d’Arte, 548 West 28th Street, Suite 328, New York City is pleased to present Art Project Group exhibition YOUR FIRST WORD: Art Group OD. This show will run from January 19th – January 31st, 2017 with an opening reception on Thursday, January 19th and 26th from 6 to 8 pm.

 

OD is going to start second project ‘YOUR FIRST WORD’ by looking back on their lives for the new year 2017. With the first project including our first exhibition ‘Under Examination’, OD tried to awaken people’s ordinary dreams that are neglected by the question; where do you come from? What are you? Where are you going? OD definitely believe not to merely rest on it but to reflect on the first step, which is going to lead them in another new project with the installation art and films.

 

Unlike other animals, people received the gift of language that is an exclusive possession of man, which is able to have the ability to think logically, share it, and develop it. Though language is significant role in creating various way of thinking and promoting unconsciousness mind in such a fast-changing society, some people living in the present generation do not recognize a precious value of their existence. Meanwhile, OD would like to ruminate how much their actual condition has grown in certain shape and focus on what is (or was) your first word with every new encounter, which may represent what we are now by being affected by language.

 

OD is a group of three artists: Jisoo Kim, So Ry Yun, and Boram Park who are working on the art project on a regular basis by showing their artworks diversely such as painting, installation, video, and writing. With this project, OD hope to open the route that lead the new generation by connecting between everyone and us through their works.
